All four of us went on a trip to New York in February 2008, organised by our University. We had the opportunity to speak to a variety of American designers and design studios, as well as plenty of British designers working in New York.
The general consensus between all these people was that European, and particularly British design graduates were looked on favourably by American employers.
In addition to all these experiences, we have all come accross anecdotal evidence from friends and graduates who we know who have studied, worked, or completed a work placement in New York. All agree that British design students are well received and Britain has a reputation for producing good design students.
